Cost & booking

How much does a Fredericksburg wine tour cost?

Our shared Classic Wine Tour is $99 per person Sunday through Thursday and $115 per person Friday and Saturday. Private for Two is $595 Sunday through Thursday and $695 on Fridays; Saturdays are by request. A Private Wine Tour for a group is $850 for the whole van, up to 11 guests, Sunday through Thursday and $1,095 Friday and Saturday. Tastings are an optional add-on (the Tasting Pass is $89 per person).

What's due when I book?

A 50% deposit holds your spot. We charge the remaining balance to your card on file 5 days before your tour, with a reminder 7 days out. Tours booked within 14 days are paid in full at booking.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancel in writing at least 10 days before your tour for a refund, minus a $30 credit card processing fee. Cancellations within 10 days of the tour are non-refundable. See our full policies for details.

Is gratuity included?

No. Gratuity is never added automatically. Tipping your guide is always up to you.

How far ahead should we book?

Saturdays book first, especially in spring and fall, so reserve as soon as you know your date. Sunday through Thursday tours have the best rates and more open dates.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes. Digital gift cards are delivered right after purchase and are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. They're non-refundable but transferable.

The tour day

How many wineries do you visit?

Three wineries on every tour, and we reserve every stop for you.

How long is the tour?

The Classic tour runs 1:00 to 5:00 PM, about 4 hours. The Private tour usually runs 1 to 5 PM as well. Add extra time for $175 an hour, like a noon start.

Where do you pick up?

We pick up and drop off at your vacation rental or hotel inside the Fredericksburg city limits, or you can meet us at our office at 709 W Main Street. Private tours can start outside town for a flat travel fee: $75 within 20 miles, $150 within 35 miles (Kerrville, Comfort, Johnson City), farther by quote. Transportation has no travel fee; the hourly clock runs from the time the van leaves Fredericksburg until it is back.

Are tastings included?

Tastings are an add-on, so you only pay for what you want. Add the Tasting Pass ($89 per person) for a reserved tasting flight at all three wineries, order a glass at each stop, or use your wine club member perks. We reserve every stop either way.

What if I don't drink much?

That's exactly why we made tastings optional. Enjoy a glass, a bottle to share or just the views. Designated sippers are welcome.

Is food included?

We keep water and snacks in the van. Wineries offer charcuterie and light bites for an extra cost. We recommend a good lunch before pickup.

What should I wear on a wine tour?

Comfortable shoes you can walk on gravel and grass in, layers for air-conditioned tasting rooms and sunny patios, and sunglasses. Our blog has a full guide to what to wear on a Hill Country wine tour.

What vehicle do you use?

A Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van that seats up to 11 guests, driven by a local guide.

Groups, couples & guests

Is the Classic tour shared?

Yes. It's a shared tour for couples and small groups. If you'd like the van to yourselves, book the Private tour.

Can we have a private wine tour for just the two of us?

Yes. Private for Two is $595 Sunday through Thursday and $695 on Fridays. Saturdays are by request, since the van usually goes to a group or the Classic tour. Couples who want a weekend date for less usually book two seats on the Classic tour.

Do you do bachelorette parties and girls' trips?

Yes, they're some of our favorite tours. Book a Private tour for your group of up to 11, choose your three wineries, and add the Tasting Pass so tastings are ready when you arrive. The whole van is $850 Sun–Thu or $1,095 Fri–Sat, so a group of 8 pays about $106 to $137 each.

How many people fit?

Our Mercedes Sprinter seats up to 11 guests. For larger groups, contact us and we'll help plan it.

Can we choose the wineries?

On the Private tour, yes. Pick three from our list. On the Classic tour we choose three great wineries for the day; groups of 10 can request their own.

How old do you have to be?

Guests must be 21 or older to taste, and the Classic tour is adults only.

Are kids or pets allowed?

The Classic tour is adults only (21+). Children can join a Private tour or Transportation Only where the venues allow. No pets on any tour.
